Louis Arana is a Patent agent of the firm. Louis holds a B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from the City College of New York.
Louis was a Primary Patent Examiner at the USPTO for 25 years until his retirement in 2019. Louis has extensive experience in patent prosecution of regular and special cases such as Reexams and Reissues. Louis examined applications in the area of non-destructive testing that included, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasonic testing and Imaging, Image processing, Optics, etc.
During his career at the USPTO, Louis was tasked by the solicitor’s office with developing and delivering courses for foreign examiners and supervisors, on U.S. Patent examining principles.
Louis is now a registered patent practitioner before the U.S Patent and Trademark Office.
